Director Omar Santos Roque assumed as Regional Director of the Commission on Audit (COA) Regional Office (RO) No III on August 06, 2021. A Lawyer by profession, he has extensive administrative experience acquired through his 22 years of government service. RD Roque started his stint in COA in 2002 as staff of the Legal and Adjudication Office under the Office of the General Counsel. From there he was able to prove his competency and was appointed as Division Chief of the same office in 2006. In 2009, he served as the Division Chief of the Adjudication Services Division of the Local Government Sector (LGS) of the National Capital Region (NCR). He was then concurrently assigned as Executive Staff at the Office of the Chairperson in 2015 wherein he was subsequently promoted to Assistant Director in 2016 and at the same time was designated as the Assistant Regional Director of the National Capital Region .With his utmost dedication, he finally coveted the position of Regional Director in 2020.

Director Roque finished his primary education at the Immaculata Academy of Malolos, and his Secondary and College education at the Immaculate Conception Seminary in Bulacan. He finished his Juris Doctor for his Law course in 2000 and immediately took and passed the Bar exam of the same year.

Director Roque’s experience in public service has given him a deep knowledge of institutional governance and processes and established himself as a trusted leader keen in upholding COA’s mission of promoting accountability and transparency in the public sector.

A well-rounded person, Director Roque maintains a work-life balance as he finds time to engage in various physical activities like basketball and cycling. In addition, his people-oriented management style focuses on interpersonal relationships promoting positive work environment leading to efficient delivery of public service.
