Clarkfield, Pampanga — The Commission on Audit (COA) Region III successfully held its much-anticipated 2024 General Assembly and Christmas Party on December 16, 2024, at Royce Hotel & Casino, Clarkfield, Pampanga. With the theme “A Celebration of Gratitude, Gift-giving, and Festive Hearts,” the event brought together COA employees in a day filled with camaraderie, entertainment, and meaningful celebration.

The program began at 8:00 AM with registration, followed by a Holy Mass at 8:30 AM, which was officiated by Rev. Fr. Justin C. Gatus, setting a solemn and thankful tone for the day and emphasizing what authority one may have during the Christmas’ season. Regional Director Omar S. Roque delivered a warm welcome and an inspirational message, energizing the attendees for the festivities ahead.

One of the highlights of the event was the series of group performances by the Local Government Audit Sector, National Government Audit Sector, Corporate Government Audit Sector, and Regional Office. These performances showcased not only the creativity and teamwork of COA personnel but also their dedication, as they managed to deliver remarkable acts despite their demanding schedules. These heartfelt presentations stirred feelings of nostalgia and excitement among the retirees.

The retirees added a delightful surprise to the celebration with an impromptu dance performance led by Ms. Carmencita V. Mijares. Joining her on the dance floor were former COA R3 Director Ma. Corazon S. Gomez, Supervising Auditors Edelmira S. Gonzales, Amalia P. Manabat, Josefina Y. Guevarra, Remedios P. Soto, and Ester D. Castro, as well as Audit Team Leader Ma. Rowena R. Bucu, Ms. Myra P. Dungca, and some current personnel of the COA RO3.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, attendees were treated to musical performances by COA talents Charmaine Menina and Donna Angelica Cruz from LGAS-Pampanga, as well as Deserie Pauline Barrago from Stand Alone Agencies.

Raffle prizes, drawn during the intervals, brought thrills and joy to the participants, while the fun games, facilitated by Atty. Harold M. Antonio and his team added energy and laughter to the afternoon.

The celebration continued with more song numbers, featuring performances from Atty. Bjorn Jorell Bautista of the Legal and Adjudication Division, Cherrie Ann Cacap, LGAS-Zambales, and Charmaine De Leon, NGAS 1-4, highlighting the exceptional talents of the COA family.

The event concluded on a heartfelt note with a closing message from RSA Leonida S. Tañega, leaving attendees inspired and grateful. The lively and seamless flow of activities was expertly handled by emcees Atty. Abraham Basilio and Mr. Raymond Del Mundo.

The 2024 General Assembly and Christmas Party was a resounding success, strengthening the bonds among COA Region III employees while embodying the spirit of gratitude, generosity, and holiday cheer.
